Executive Chairman
Allan E. Bulley, Jr.
Allan joined Bulley & Andrews in 1956 after earning a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Brown University. Although not encouraged by his father, Allan E. Bulley, Sr., Allan Jr. had always endeavored to join the family company and aspired to be as successful as his father. In a school report dated in 1946, Allan wrote, “someday I will likely go into the building business, and if I do, I hope I can live up to my father’s record and be a success at it.” Fortunately for those of us reading this, Allan’s steadfast focus to be a part of Bulley & Andrews paved the way to exponential growth, new challenges and a host of opportunity.
In addition to being active in construction industry affairs, Allan is also highly involved with several civic and cultural institutions including the Museum of Science & Industry in Chicago, IL where he serves as Chairman of the Buildings & Grounds Committee. His club affiliations include the Commercial Club of Chicago, Old Elm Club, Indian Hill Club, Shoreacres Club, Eldorado Country Club (Indian Wells, CA), The Vintage Club (Indian Wells, CA), The Bohemian Club, The Brook Club, and Rolling Rock Club.
An outdoor enthusiast, Allan enjoys fly fishing for Atlantic salmon and steelhead trout and he is an avid bird hunter. Other interests include golf, squash, classical music, Gothic architecture, 12th century French stained-glass windows and 19th century American landscape painting.
